Brew 8 ounces of coffee your favorite way. I make mine with a Keurig and then pour it into my mug.
2. Add Butter and Oil
Add equal amounts of grass-fed butter and MCT oil (or coconut oil). Start with 1 tablespoon each and work your way up to 2 tablespoons. Adding the fats before pouring in the hot coffee helps them melt better.
3. Blend it all together
Blending the fats into the coffee with an electric milk frother emulsifies the fat into the liquid. This produces a cup of coffee with foam, like a latte!
Adding grass-fed butter and MCT oil to your morning brew is a great way to gain energy and stay in ketosis.
Note: Grass-fed butter is more nutrient-dense than grain-fed butter and it tastes better and has a creamier consistency.

Keto Butter Coffee Recipe
- 8 ounces of fresh brewed coffee
- 1 to 2 Tblspns grass-fed butter
- 1 to 2 Tblspns MCT oil
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- zero-carb sweetener
- Measure the almond milk, butter, and MCT oil into a coffee cup.
- Pour 8 ounces of freshly brewed coffee into the cup.
- Blend the ingredients with a milk frother until a rich foam appears on top.
- Sweeten to taste with low-carb sweeteners.
- Serve Hot. Enjoy!
